386 customer calls. 343.7% growth. 62% increase in monthly calls.
This Local SEO case study shows how a focused Google Business Profile and local search strategy helped a Bangladeshi business generate significantly more customer actions from Google.
The project started around 7 months ago, and the results below represent the most recent 3 months of performance.
The goal was simple:
Improve local visibility, attract the right customers, and turn Google searches into real business calls.
The Results at a Glance
The latest 3 months generated:
📞 386 Calls from Google Business Profile
| Month | Calls |
|---|---|
| June 2026 | 98 |
| July 2026 | 129 |
| August 2026 | 159 |
| Total | 386 |
The business went from 98 calls in June to 159 calls in August.
That’s approximately a 62% increase in monthly calls within just three months.
More importantly, Google Business Profile call activity was 343.7% higher compared with the same period the previous year.
The Challenge
When I started working on this project, the main objective wasn’t simply to make the business “rank higher.”
The real objective was to build a stronger local search presence that could generate actual customer actions.
For a local business, visibility only matters when it contributes to business growth.
A website ranking without clicks isn’t enough.
A Google Business Profile appearing in search without calls isn’t enough.
The focus was therefore on improving the entire local search journey:
Google Search → Business Profile → Trust → Customer Action
The Strategy
I approached the project with a combination of Local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, relevance, trust signals, and ongoing improvements.
1. Google Business Profile Optimization
The Google Business Profile was treated as an important customer acquisition channel—not just a business listing.
The focus included improving the profile’s overall relevance and completeness so that Google could better understand:
- What the business offers
- Which services are important
- Where the business operates
- What customers can expect
- Why customers should choose the business
2. Local Keyword & Search Intent Strategy
Local SEO isn’t about adding a location name everywhere.
The important part is understanding what potential customers are actually searching for.
I focused on connecting the business with relevant:
- Local service searches
- Location-based searches
- High-intent keywords
- Service + location combinations
- Customer-focused search queries
The goal was to attract people who were more likely to become customers.
3. Service Relevance
A local business can offer many services, but Google needs clear signals about what those services are.
I worked on strengthening the connection between the business, its services, and relevant local searches.
This helps create a clearer relationship between:
Business → Services → Location → Search Intent
4. Building Trust
Local search isn’t only about relevance.
Trust matters.
Customer reviews, business information, website signals, local presence, and overall online consistency can all contribute to how customers perceive a business.
The strategy focused on creating a stronger and more trustworthy local presence rather than relying on one ranking factor.
5. Continuous Optimization
Local SEO isn’t a one-time task.
I continued monitoring performance and making improvements based on what was working.
Instead of asking only:
“Where does the business rank?”
I focused on questions such as:
- Are people finding the business?
- Are they clicking?
- Are they calling?
- Which services are generating interest?
- Is local visibility improving?
- Are Google Business Profile actions increasing?
This shifted the focus from rankings to business outcomes.
The Growth
The monthly call numbers tell the story.
June 2026
98 calls
↓
July 2026
129 calls
↓
August 2026
159 calls
The business didn’t just see a temporary spike.
The number of calls increased month after month during this period.
98 → 129 → 159
That’s the kind of trend I want to see from a Local SEO campaign.
343.7% Increase Compared With Last Year
One of the strongest numbers from this campaign is the year-over-year improvement.
Google Business Profile call activity increased by:
+343.7%
compared with the same period last year.
This means the business was generating substantially more phone-call activity from its Google Business Profile than it did previously.
And that’s important because calls are much closer to revenue than rankings are.
What This Case Study Shows
This project is a good example of why Local SEO should be measured beyond keyword positions.
A business can rank for keywords and still struggle to generate customers.
The better question is:
Is your local search visibility creating real customer actions?
In this case, the answer was clear.
- Google visibility increased.
- Customer actions increased.
- Calls increased.
And ultimately, that’s what Local SEO should help a local business achieve.
The Numbers
386
Total calls in the last 3 months
159
Calls in August 2026
98 → 159
Monthly call growth
62%
Increase from June to August
+343.7%
Growth compared with the same period last year
The Biggest Lesson
Local SEO isn’t just about getting found.
It’s about getting found by the right people, at the right time, when they’re ready to take action.
For local businesses, that action could be:
📞 A phone call
🌐 A website visit
📍 A direction request
💬 A message
📅 A booking
🛒 A purchase
That’s why I don’t look at SEO as simply a ranking game.
I look at it as a customer acquisition channel.
Final Thoughts
This Bangladeshi Local SEO project took approximately 7 months of ongoing work, with the results above coming from the latest three months.
The numbers are a reminder that Local SEO takes time—but when the right strategy is consistently applied, Google can become a powerful source of qualified customer opportunities.
The goal isn’t simply:
“Let’s rank this business.”
The goal is:
“Let’s make this business easier to find, easier to trust, and easier to contact.”
That’s the approach I use with Local SEO.
Want More Customers From Google?
If your local business depends on Google Search and Google Maps for new customers, your SEO strategy should focus on more than rankings.
It should focus on:
Visibility → Traffic → Calls → Leads → Customers
If you want to improve your local search visibility and generate more customer actions from Google, let’s talk about your business.
